FIVE FACTS FROM THE SOURCE (Embedded):
EX: The article cites Maria Nikolajeva, a professor of at Cambridge, as saying that Bella does not "in any way promote independent thinking or personal development" in women, instead portraying a woman "meek and willing to do anything for her vampire boyfriend" (POV).
|
The article cites that expectations on teens in school are “unprecedented”. Those parents expect so much from their teens because they know that are many kids with the same goals as any other teen.
|
Then it cites that no matter who you are or what you do that is not going to help you as much as you think it is going to help you. It also says that there is a place for everyone and a college for every teen
|
It also says that the teen’s year set the way their future is going to be. That there is not any reason why they should not have a social life but just as long they do not go off their path. That there is no need to have extracurricular activates to become such a big part of their high school just that it can look good.
|
Another big thing that might affect teens to have a lot of pressure is the fact that there can be some bullying involved. Besides that, kids start to freak out because they heard that there was another school shooting close by and they feel that school is not a safe environment to be around therefore they feel like they have to think twice.
|
It also cites about the fact there its not so good have pressure wiether it come from their parents or teacher or even themselves. There is some “good” pressure that we should have just to keep out eyes on the prize but to the point where they get burnout.

Summary of Source (Three-Four Sentences of the Who, What, Where, Why, and How in your own words. NO OPINION):
The main point of this source is that no matter what teens do to succeed the high expectation that there is; there is always going to be a place for them in any college. it also says that some teens may need to have a little bit of pressure but just to keep them on top of their schoolwork and no so much to stress them out. That there may be a lot of other reason why they have a lot of pressure in school such as bullying.
Credibility of Source:
Author or Site: Who is the author? What training have they had? If there is no author, examine the site. What is the purpose of the site? Who funds the site?
The author of this source has an MD. It does not say what experience they have had but I think that it is a parent or a researcher. The purpose of this is to inform parents how to handle things that they see their kids going through.Attachment: Does the author or site have anything to gain from writing this, or is it simply informative?
It is informative
Bias: Do you detect a bias (a favoring of either side) in the author's writing?
I did not see anything that made him bias. There was no side that he favored he was writing it for everyone or anyone
References: Does the author cite references in the writing? If so, do these add or take away from the credibility?
no; he does not use any other references Use of Source: How will you use this source in your project?
I would be able to use because it help me out with my own opinion. It will also help me because you can see that there are many people who are also concern about the same thing.
